Two bright and energetic sistersSerenity & Jozilynn (9118AB)
Serenity and Jozilynn are bright and energetic girls with big futures ahead of them! They may take a little while to warm up to you, but once they do, they are both affectionate and eager to share! Serenity is nurturing and mothering, and can get along with just about anyone. She is intelligent and likes to have in-depth conversations. Jozilynn is equally as smart, with an independent streak and lots of her own opinions. She looks up to her older sister and enjoys many of the same activities, but is also happy to strike out on her own and try new things.
Both girls are active and athletic, and enjoy a wide range of extracurricular activities. Serenity has played basketball and volleyball, and would love to try out different sports too. Jozilynn prefers theater and cheerleading (when she doesn’t have her nose in a book – this girl is an avid reader!). Serenity and Jozilynn are active in their local church, and would like to continue that with their adoptive family.
Serenity and Jozilynn would do well in a two-parent family, where any other children in the home are older. They need a stable family where they can feel safe to talk about their experiences and feelings. The girls will thrive in a home where they can be encouraged to be kids and enjoy age-appropriate experiences and activities. Their adoptive family will need to remind them that they do not have to be in charge, and that they can trust the adults in the home will make decisions that are in their best interests. Interested families should understand the impact that trauma can have on a child, and be well-versed in trauma-informed care. (9118AB) Wabash County
