Two bright and energetic sisters

Mariyah and Tiffany (8136EF)

She might appear reserved and shy, but don’t be fooled: once she warms up to you, Nashara is friendly, creative, fun-loving, and full of laughter! She’s got plans to become a dance teacher – maybe even a choreographer – so don’t be surprised if you find her dancing all over the place!  Spending a day working on a new routine to show off to her friends is totally Nashara’s style. With her extra energy (and yes, she’s got energy after all that dancing!), Nashara enjoys playing on the school volleyball team. She’s made good friends on the team, and can often be found hanging out with them, laughing and catching up on the events of the day.

More outgoing than her older sister, Lakoda has a big personality and never met a stranger in her life! She will strike up conversations with people wherever she is – and the happier she is, the more talkative and social she becomes! While her sister has focused on dance, Lakoda channels her creative energy into writing and drawing. You’re pretty likely to find Lakoda hanging out with her friends on any given day – maybe going shopping or if it’s warm enough, jumping into the pool!

Nashara and Lakoda would do well in either a one- or two-parent home with at least one mom. They are both very future-focused, and are looking forward to being adopted and having a forever family. Though their personalities are different, Nashara and Lakoda have a strong bond and the intention is for them to be adopted together. Both girls do well when there are clear expectations and consistent follow-through. Parents who make education a priority are ideal. Given their high energy levels, Nashara and Lakoda would do well in an active family that supports them in whatever they’re doing and will show up to cheer them on. Interested families should understand the impact that trauma can have on a child.
