A friendly helper who loves to build
My'Kel (9417)My’Kel is a friendly kid who loves being with people! If you’ve got some LEGOs or if you want to see his collection, you’ve got a building buddy the rest of the afternoon! He’s a curious and resilient kid, and loves taking things apart and putting them back together.
He delights in being helpful, and so is always happy to assist with chores around the house or classroom. One of My’Kel’s favorite tasks is setting the table so the whole family can sit down and enjoy a nice meal! And it thrills him to no end when the adults in his life notice how helpful he’s being and give him lots of positive attention and praise!
My’Kel would do best in a two-parent home, although single-parent homes with significant supports will be considered. He needs plenty of attention so it would be best if he is the only child, or there should be no more than one other child in the home. Parents will need to be able to devote time just to My’Kel, and provide a high level of supervision and consistency. Parents need to be willing to take on any educational or therapeutic needs he may have in the future, and understand that they are making a lifetime commitment to My’Kel. Interested families should understand the impact trauma can have on children.
