Marcus is a funny kid with a delightful sense of humor. He’s also quite the social butterfly, and if there are new friends to be made, Marcus will find them! The same goes for new experiences – Marcus is always up for trying something new, and learning from his adventures. He’s an inquisitive kid who wants to know how the world works. When it’s nice out, you can find Marcus outside, riding his bike and exploring, but most of the time Marcus is a homebody.
If you like video games, Marcus wants an adoptive family that will play video games with him – sounds like fun! He even likes to watch YouTube videos of people playing his favorite games, which are Minecraft, Zelda, and Lego Star Wars. By doing chores here and there, Marcus is saving money to buy a Nintendo Switch.
Marcus would do well in either a single- or two-parent family, with parents who are patient and understanding. It will take time for Marcus to adjust and warm up to his adoptive family, so parents will need to be committed and supportive during that transition. A family that enjoys adventure, and knows how to laugh with each other, would be ideal. Marcus thrives with structure and clear expectations, and needs to know that his home environment is stable and secure. If there are other children in the home, it would be best if they are older than Marcus. Interested families should have an understanding of how trauma can impact a child.
