Bubbly, caring, and determined

Kristal (8865B)

Kristal has been described as bubbly and outgoing – and she certainly is! She’s always got a shining smile for those she cares about, and it will definitely brighten your day! Caring and kind, Kristal has no trouble making friends, and she is determined to make sure that everyone around her is taken care of. Kristal is all about movement and music (especially Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift), and she would love to be involved in dance classes where she can hone her skills and burn off some energy. She’s a determined young girl who will go far in life with the right support and commitment from a forever family. More than anything, Kristal wants an adoptive family that is “nice” and will love her forever.

Kristal will do well in a two-parent family, or a single-parent home with support. If there are other children in the home, they should be older, and parents should be able to commit to providing Kristal with plenty of one-on-one attention. Although Kristal is independent and likes to prove that she can do things for herself, she also craves family time and attention from her caregivers.

The family that will be best for Kristal will be able to provide her with new opportunities for learning and growth, while supporting her as she navigates healing from past trauma. She has the potential to excel academically with the right support and encouragement – she’s eager to share how much she enjoys school, even math! Kristal will benefit from active parents who show an interest in the activities she enjoys, like singing, dancing, playing games, and reading books. Families should be encouraging and supportive, while also offering structure and clear expectations. Kristal does best when she knows what is expected of her, and when she has a consistent routine that can be maintained over time.

It may take Kristal a while to feel comfortable in a new home environment, and a family should demonstrate patience with that transition. Interested families should be aware of the impact that trauma can have on children.
