Outspoken with a pensive side

Jordan (9116)

Jordan is an easygoing teen who is also not afraid to speak up for himself! He can be very outspoken, especially when it comes to something he cares about. One thing he cares about a lot: finding an adoptive family. “I am all about a family,” Jordan says, “I can’t do anything without them.”

Jordan has a wide range of interests – sometimes you’ll find him writing his own rap songs, or scribbling down some poetry, and other times, you’ll find him outside on the basketball court. He has been focusing on his schoolwork lately, trying to improve his study skills. He also enjoys going to church, and hopes that he can continue to do so with his adoptive family.

Jordan would do well in either a single-parent or two-parent family. If there are other children in the home, they should be older than Jordan; he would also do well with no other children in the home. He would prefer an African-American family, but mostly, he wants parents who are patient, honest, and won’t give up on him.

Jordan does very well when he understands what the expectations are, so he needs parents who can communicate clearly, and patiently. He would love it if his adoptive family liked sports – especially basketball! Interested families should understand the impact that trauma can have on a child.
