Outgoing basketball enthusiastDakota (9172)
What’s not to like about this fun-loving guy? Basketball is Dakota’s favorite sport! In fact, he likes all things basketball, including playing and watching the NBA. It’s been a great way for Dakota to make friends – after all, he’s a social teenager who is very outgoing. He’s a likable kid!
Dakota needs a family that is educated on parenting children who have experienced trauma. Because of this, Dakota’s adoptive family should be patient, welcoming, and offer assurance that Dakota is part of his new family. Most of all, he needs a family that will not give up on him. He’ll need a family that is engaged, and committed to advocating for his emotional and educational needs.
Dakota would do well in a two-parent family with at least one female, or in a single female home. Dakota bonds well with women. It would be best if he were the youngest child, or there were no other children in the family so Dakota can have plenty of one-on-one attention.
