Loves to learn

Abby (9418)

Always learning, Abby soaks up information! She loves history and getting to read about all the things that happened before that led to what’s going on today. She’s also been taking some driving lessons and is doing a great job learning how to be safe in the car!

Abby is a natural caregiver and no matter the situation, she is always ensuring that people are having a good time. That caregiving extends to animals, too – she’s especially fond of cats and the comfort they can provide. A budding artist in her own right, she’s worked hard on her art over the years and has quite a collection of “Abby Original” paintings and drawings.

Abby would do well in either a one-parent or two-parent home and would love a forever family that came with brothers or sisters. She values her independence and would prefer to have her own room so she can have some space when she needs it. She will thrive in a home full of patience and support with parents who take an interest in her hobbies.

Abby longs for a family that will accept her with open arms, and that understands that even though she has a trauma history, this doesn’t define who she is or can be. This intelligent and funny teen will thrive with a family that can provide guidance without being controlling, and advocate for her needs as she grows into young adulthood. Interested families should understand the impact trauma can have on children.
