Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) – Connecting Principles, Part 1
October 15 at 9:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT
This training is geared toward foster and adoptive parents.
This training explores the Connecting Principles of the TBRI Model. TBRI® consists of three sets of harmonious principles: Connecting, Empowering, and Correcting. These principles are based on attachment theory and considered to be the “heart and soul of TBRI®”. Connecting Principles describes an interaction between child and caregiver that produces warmth and trust. It disarms fear, promotes attachment and builds social competence.
Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) is a therapeutic model that trains caregivers to provide effective support and treatment for at-risk children. TBRI has been applied in orphanages, courts, residential treatment facilities, group homes, foster and adoptive homes, churches, and schools.
This will be facilitated via Microsoft Teams. It is recommended that you attend both Part 1 and Part 2.
Foster parent training hours are available.
